About The Role

The International Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth in international markets, expanding the company’s global presence, and building strong relationships with distributors, partners, and key accounts.
 
This role requires a strategic approach to market entry, pricing, and brand positioning, with the goal of maximizing sales and building brand recognition in targeted regions.
 
The International Sales Manager will work closely with marketing, operations, and commercial teams to ensure seamless coordination of export activities and achievement of business objectives
 
Develop and execute the international sales strategy to meet revenue and growth targets across key global markets.
Identify and establish relationships with distributors, importers, and partners in target regions, negotiating terms that align with company goals.
Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, competitive landscapes, and regulatory requirements in each target market.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports, tracking KPIs and providing insights to senior team.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop brand-specific campaigns and promotional strategies tailored to each market.
Ensure compliance with local regulations for alcohol sales, labelling, and packaging in all export regions.
Travel to target markets as needed to support sales initiatives, build relationships, and represent the brand at trade shows, events, and customer meetings.
Work closely with the operations team to manage inventory, logistics, and fulfilment processes, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Oversee the pricing strategy and discount structures, maintaining profitability while remaining competitive in each market.
Provide training, support, and product knowledge to international partners to enhance their ability to promote and sell the company’s products.
Continuously evaluate market performance and explore opportunities to expand distribution, enter new regions, and launch new products internationally
Coordinate with wider INT’L BrewDog sales team to create JBP’s with distributors who are responsible for both beer and spirits in certain markets.

About You

 Degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or related field.


Proven experience in international sales within the spirits/alcohol industry.

Strategic thinker with experience in market analysis, business development, and brand positioning.

Successful track record of increasing sales and building market share in international markets.

Experience developing and managing relationships with distributors and key accounts across multiple regions.

Experience creating and implementing successful sales commercial strategies for premium or craft spirit brands.

Proven ability to navigate regulatory landscapes in various countries, ensuring product compliance and brand integrity.

Willingness to travel internationally as needed (up to 30% of the time).

Strong knowledge of export and import regulations, especially regarding alcohol and spirits.

Knowledge of global spirits industry trends, key markets, and competitive dynamics.

In-depth knowledge of pricing structures, discounting, and margin management.

Understanding of cultural preferences in different regions and the ability to adapt brand strategies accordingly.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple markets, partners, and projects simultaneously.

Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to structure mutually beneficial agreements with international partners.

High cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the ability to adapt sales approaches to different regions.

Great communication skills can communicate the brand story, values and can tell the brand story in acompelling way.

Commercial astuteness – create optimal value chains for each market.

Goal-Oriented: Highly motivated and focused on achieving ambitious sales targets.
