About The Role

BREWDOG ARE ON THE HUNT FOR A GENERAL MANAGER!
 
We at BrewDog have one mission. We want to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. Our bars are at the forefront of that mission, delivering amazing beer & customer service at all times. And now, we’re looking for a General Manager to join our team.
 
In this role you’ll be leading from the front – you’ll be the benchmark for customer service, leading by example & training others to give the best customer experience of all time. BrewDog’s goal is to be the best employer ever, so part of your role will be ensuring all of your team are happy, developing themselves, reaching goals & having fun. This senior position will also encompass managing the profitability of the overall business.
 
You’ll be leading an experienced management team alongside a crew of passionate & confident individuals, made up of team in the kitchen, on the floor & behind the bar. Some with vast amounts of beer knowledge, some with years of customer service experience, some fresh into the industry. Your job is to be the glue that holds the team together & pushes them to be better every single day, and develop to the next stages of their career with us.
 

JOB PURPOSE

    KEY RESULT AREA /
    PRINCIPAL DUTIES
    AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  •     Revenue Growth: Drive top-line sales both internally and externally.
    Profitability: Ensure all decisions align with profitability goals and objectives.
    Employee Relations: Manage all aspects of employee relations, while motivating, inspiring, and engaging the team.
    SOP Creation and Implementation: Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    Cost Efficiency: Monitor all costs and ensure decisions are in line with budgets.
    Hiring and ATS Management: Oversee the hiring process and manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for recruitment and promotions.
    Schedule and Attendance Management: Manage employee schedules and attendance through time and attendance systems.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS -
INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL

Internal -
Employees - both Front and back of house. The ability to manage their performances and ER;
Supervisors and Assistant Managers - ability to delegate tasks and follow up;
Line Manager - ability to update on monthly/quarterly and yearly performances in an efficient manner;  

External - 
Engage and manage relationships with Different departments and head of departments within the company organization;
Engage and manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors;
Engage and manage relationship with the local community and the businesses network;

About You

GENERAL
· Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times.
· Take part in crew reviews throughout the year.
· Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors.
· Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required to meet the requirements of the role.
· Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills.
· Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business.
· Apply the BrewDog charter and behaviours to every aspect of the role at all times
· Protect and enhance the interests and reputation of BrewDog internally and externally. 

QUALIFICATIONS &
SPECIFIC TRAINING

Exceptional Understanding of stock and labor management;
Proven understanding of all financial aspects and Profit and Loss documents;  

EXPERIENCE

5 years of proven experience leading hospitality businesses;
5 years or more of proven experience leading large teams;

KNOWLEDGE

Extensive Financial and operational knowledge of all aspects of the business;
Extensive understanding of ER and HR processes;


SKILLS
Guest Experience management with a proven track record of 
Problem solving;
Cost control skills;
Proven ability to lead medium to large teams; 
Financial awareness;
Leadership skills

􀁸 Expected to work a minimum of 50+ hours per week, based on business needs.
􀁸 This is a highly operational role, with approximately 90% of time spent on the floor actively supporting guests and team members, touching tables, and upholding cleanliness and service standards. This role requires consistent visibility and engagement across all positions and is not intended to be office- or desk-based.
􀁸 Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
􀁸 Must be able to walk up and down stairs and remain on feet for extended periods.
