About The Role

Leading the UK commercial finance team that manages the profit and loss of the UK commercial BU to deliver Budget Revenue and contribution, by business partnering the UK commercial leadership:

 

Specifically:

 

  • Leading and supporting the Commercial Finance Team, acting as finance business partners to the Sales Director and his senior leadership team, to provide accounting advice and financial analysis in order to achieve business objectives and drive revenue and profit growth initiatives.
  • Lead UK monthly and quarterly forecast with key interventions to maximise opportunities or protect profit.
  • Influence and advise on all promotional and investment decisions, ensure all are based on firm ROI assumptions.
  • Be a key member of the S&OP process ensuring joined up and co-ordinated approach to the forecast between UK commercial team, supply chain and FP&A.
  • First point of contact for any commercial finance queries from the Board of Directors and responsible for reporting commercial KPIs and analysing commercial performance, drawing on internal and external information to deliver insight to senior management.
  • Oversight of revenue growth management, working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to optimise the pricing and promotional strategy by brand and category, in order to deliver value both for the business and for our key partners.
  • Responsible for supporting, guiding and challenging the senior sales team and creating and leading the annual budget process for UK to deliver robust plans.
  • Key point of contact between Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Planning, working with colleagues across the business to develop awareness of the financial implications of business decisions and pursue a joined up approach for the achievement of our business objectives.
  • Evaluation of new business opportunities such as new contracts, distribution agreements, local brewing initiatives, profit share models and licensing agreements. Presentation of findings to senior management in a simple and concise manner in order to inform strategic decision making.
  • Be a key member of the senior finance team to drive improvement in the reporting, excellence in behaviours and influencing the business.

 

About You

 

You will need to be a driven, commercially astute individual, who has the ability to prioritise and manage workstreams and influence key stakeholders in the business. You will need to be capable of driving change and constantly challenge the status quo. You will need to be able to work to tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment. You will need to be a qualified accountant of at least 10 years PQE with experience of consumer or FMCG sectors essential.
