About The Role

To provide real-time operational quality support across brewing, packaging and warehouse. As an extension of our laboratory function – this role will take on key verification/ validation QC as well as QA activities to ensure the following:

  • Key lab analysis & beer processing checks, supporting Master Technical Specification conformance
  • Auditing HACCP compliance
  • Non -conforming product management & escalation
  • Laboratory equipment calibration management
  • Quality continuous improvement projects
  • To act as a key shift team member through prioritisation of key Quality activities

The shift pattern will cover 24 hours on a four-on-four off basis.

This is a technical role, based both in production and within the laboratories, so therefore requires a relevant work history or appropriate Scientific, Engineering or Technical qualifications to Degree Level or equivalent. 

The successful candidates will be the first point of contact for escalating QC/QA non-conformities, especially during night shift, and supporting Quality Management in monitoring and verification of quality and food safety adherence in all production areas.

 

About You

  • Methodical
  • Well organised, diligent & detail orientated.
  • Be able to work effectively unsupervised & independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Have experience of, and the ability to multi-task and work with multiple priorities calmly and at pace.
  • A good understanding or experience of food manufacturing environments.
  • An excellent understanding of the brewing process and downstream impact of quality control non-conformances.
  • Critical thinking

Skills & Knowledge advantageous:

  • Laboratory skills desirable-
    • yeast counts, aseptic technique, analytical techniques, Gas Chromatography etc
  • Knowledge of brewery processes/ FMCG
  • Knowledge of FSSC 22000 or other GFSI certification schemes
