About The Role

TRAINEE BREWING VIRTUOSO NEEDED TO BREW THE VERY BEST BEER!

As Trainee Pilot Kit Brewer, you will help to steer the Craft Beer Revolution by assisting our Pilot Lead Brewer with the production of our small batch beers, experimental beers, & one off beers.

Under the guidance of the Pilot Kit Lead Brewer, you will contribute to the daily running of our amazing pilot kit. This role won’t be for the faint hearted & will include lots of cleaning and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the Pilot Kit, the associated yard & equipment is kept at the highest standard at all times.
  • Assisting on brew days, this will involve starting or finishing off  brews as & when required. 
  • Transportation & the milling of malt. Lots of heavy lifting.
  • Weighing out materials & preparing for brews.
  • Making sure that ingredients are consistently & accurately weighed, prepared & recorded for brewing. 
  • Maintain excellent records of all actions and production carried out to allow for retrospective analysis and understanding. A clear picture of how all beers were produced must be maintained to allow us to recreate and improve said beers.
  • Fermenter checks (PG and temperature).
  • Barrel sampling.
  • Holiday cover for Pilot Kit Lead Brewer.
  • Liaise with lab to ensure that all required samples taken and relevant analysis is carried out and recorded in an appropriate manner.
  • Represent the Brewery at associated events and convey a passion and appreciation for the craft beer both from Brewdog and our comrades if needed.
  • Help develop and execute any required collaboration brews with relevant parties.

 

About You

  • Excellent Communication
  • Passion and Imagination
  • Excellent knowledge of Brewing process & Beer Styles 
  • Some experience with home brewing would be desirable
  • Experience in a production environment would also be an advantage, but not essential.
