WE'RE ON THE HUNT FOR A GENERAL MANAGER FOR OUR NEW OPENING!

We love great craft beer, and our one mission is that we want to make others as passionate about this as we are. BrewDog bars are at the forefront of that mission, and we need your help in delivering amazing beer and great customer service.

This will be a brand new BrewDog bar split across three levels including an incredible rooftop terrace, comfortably sitting 250 people with the potential of 500 people at capacity. The bar is in the centre of the High Street of an affluent and busy commuter town with great transport links into Central London and surrounding areas. We have spent time creating a bar with a real industrial feel and creative décor, outperforming the competition. Not to mention offering a wide range of outstanding craft beer and a delicious menu for any foodie.

About The Role

We are looking for a General Manager for BrewDog Upminster, our latest UK franchised location. Someone passionate and keen to strive for excellence. Someone to ensure the distance between ourselves and our customers is as small as possible, and that our bars are a vital meeting point for passionate craft beer enthusiasts and novices alike.

In this role you’ll be leading from the front – you’ll be the benchmark for customer service, leading by example & training others to give the best customer experience of all time. Part of your role will be ensuring all your team are happy, developing themselves, reaching goals & having fun. This senior position will also encompass managing the profitability of the overall business.

You’ll be leading an experienced management team alongside a crew of passionate & confident individuals, made up of team in the kitchen, on the floor & behind the bar. Some with vast amounts of beer knowledge, some with years of customer service experience, some fresh into the industry. Your job is to be the glue that holds the team together & pushes them to be better every single day.

About You

You must have at least a couple of years’ experience in a management role in a busy bar & kitchen to help steer and develop the team here.

Financial acumen will also be required for this role, managing the P&L of all parts of the business.

You'll be dedicated and flexible – this role will be challenging and rewarding, and something you can make your own.

Knowledge of craft beer would be desirable, but a willingness to learn if you don’t is essential. We’ve got all the tools (and the beer), you just need to be excited to learn.

You also must be customer service focus centric, making sure every single experience a customer has at this BrewDog bar is stand-out.

You’ll be a natural trainer & love seeing the people around you learn & develop.

Proven experience of successfully managing and developing a driven and high performing team with examples of team progression.

Experience in New Openings would be beneficial but is not essential.
